Ever since we moved here we have been blessed with getting to know the other side of our family. My hubby side, that I knew some what about. What can you really know from a few choice visits on Holidays.
Everyone has been so great. There really isn't drama, everyone keeps to themselves. But when one person needs a little help everyone goes out of there way to help. Like tonight, I have had a cold for a week, now it has turned into a sinus infection. My father in law called me in some meds. It is great to have a doctor in the family. Soon to be two, mitchells sister is graduating in the summer. And my mother in law is watching the kids in the morning so that I can rest up. While my sister in law brang me soup. :)
How great it is to know that you can trust and get support from those around you. Through the in laws, husbands, cousins, sisters, brothers....etc. Lets all try to do something little for one another, to show that little touch of love that we have for them.

First Night Out
We loved the movies. We wanted to see the new movie "Vantage Point". Which I loved and my hubby hated. But that's ok.
My mother in law really wanted to sit both of the girls. I decided to give it a go. I knew that Makena would be okay, she is a great sport. And while I was fussing over leaving she said, just go mom. lol. She has some personality. Telling me how it is, just like I do. I hope I not creating a little monster.
Back to the story. As I finished feeding Brinlee right before I left, she gave me the sad eyes. And looked at my mother in law and started to cry. Ear persing scream. Calmed her down. It was good. But having a new baby and being with you 24/7 is the hard enough, it is even harder to walk away from. Knowing that I'm the only one that knows her (except for mitch) cries, can feed her, know her personality, and knows every little fuss. I hugged both the girls and got in the car. I felt so much anxiety about leaving. I told Mitch to hurry and get to the movie so I could relax.
I called in the middle of the movie and my baby was crying for me. I felt sooo bad. I know it was great to get away and all. But my arms physically ached for her, and all I wanted to do in that moment was help her. I'm sure all moms feel this way. But the bond between mother and your baby is so intense. I think you only relieze it when you take a break. Loving your children is something that is so intoxicating. So much love to give such small little people.
It was worth getting away. I got to reconnect with my hunky hubby. And had alot of laugh. Though I find it hard not to talk about the kids...they are my world. All and all it was a great night out.

What's in a Holiday anyways?
Valentines Day. It is a womans holiday. And there isn't anything wrong with that. My hubby seriously hates this holiday. He says that it was made up by the flower and candy companies getting together. I say..so what, who doesn't like candy and flowers?
So this year we came to an agreement. He would celebrate that holiday "if" we celebrated on the 15 instead. What is one day really? I agreed. I got two box of chocolates, and an ugly frog that sings "let me call you sweetheart cause I'm in love with you". It is cute. The main reason we do it the day after....everything is 50% off. I know that sounds cheap, but who doesn't like getting things 50% off. It is the thought that counts anyways.
What a great Valentines. Just being with my best friend and companion is amazing. I'm so grateful that I'll be able to be with him forever. What a blessing. :)

Moving This Summer
We got a call from my father in law last night. Mitchell was on the phone sounding like he was making some serious plans (which I can't stand not knowing what he is agreeing to) about this summer. He gets off the phone and tells me that we are moving this summer about twenty minutes away.
Mitchell parents own a town house. It is currently occupied by his sister going to medical school. She will be leaving for residency, and it is open. He asked us to live there. The best part about this is.... RENT FREE!!!! I couldn't be more excited. There is a great up side to this....new carpet, paint, know our landlords, there is a community pool and exercise place, and closer to the University for Mitchell.
There is one down side though. There is 3 bedrooms....but his sister needs one until she gets a place out of state. So the girls will be sharing for about 2 to 3 months. Haven't worked out the kinks yet. But it is going to be great.
I am so grateful to our families and all of there help and support in our lives.

Taking a Trip
Well this last week my sister gave birth to her little baby girl named Amelia Elizabeth Marie. She is so beautiful. She asked me to come on up. My hubby couldn't come so I decided to go up and see her alone with Makena and Brinlee. I knew it would be an adventure. Nothing like the first time I went up with my mother. We were stopping every 20 min. for my newborn, and then got stuck in a ditch.
I arrived on Thursday at noon. Leslie just got out of the hospital. Seeing her was great. I haven't seen her in about 8 months. She looked really good.
Makena played with her boys. But as the weekend continued being apart from her Daddy was showing, and not having her regular things she was use aswell. She was picking on poor Joshie, and the night before we left punched Johnathan in the face. Anyone who know my Makena KNOWS she isn't like that.
We all hung out all weekend. Bunckered down and had some time to just reconnect and talk. It was great. That is the amazing thing about family......you don't have to go and "do" things to have a good time.
The trip home was fine. Took a little long, but we got there.
I'm happy to say that Makena is back to herself and we all missed one another so much.

Sacrifice
There is an obvious sacrifice in having children, and then there are the ones that are more silent. People who have children know these. The biggest is not being able to do the smallest things by yourself anymore. This could be anything from going to the store by yourself, to not being able to go to the restroom without an audience, to being spontaneous aswell.
But I think the one that is really making me sad is the quality time with my husband. Sure we stay up late after he gets home to talk. But dating him I miss. With the birth of Brinlee I am reminded the small strain that having a child brings to the quality time in a marriage.
When you think at the small sacrifice of having these heavenly children, it really is a drop in the bucket. So why am I complaining you say? I just miss sharing all of my time with my best friend, my companion, and darn good looking husband. lol.
