Do they look alike?

This is a picture of Makena around a year (that is when we got the digiatal camera) and Brinlee at 5 months. I think that they look alike. What do you think?

What is that....answer.

The answer is.....a coat. We sped up and saw that it was a coat laying on the back seat. We thought that it looked a little lifeless to be a dog. But I thought it would be great to share. I personally think that it looks like a grey dog called a whimeriner (sp?).

DeAnna Rose Petting Zoo

For everyone that I have bragged about this place to, here are some pictures. This place gets better every year. They upgrade their facility every year. We had a great time.

We were on the way home from the zoo and saw this. Can you guess what it is?

The Omaha Zoo

We went to the Omaha Zoo about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Sorry so late on the post. It turned out to be a cold day so we just went to all of the inside things...Aquarium, and the Desert Dome. We had behind the scene tour and everything. It was great. We also visited Leslie and her family...we loved it. Just sorry the whole trip couldn't have been longer.

A BREAKTHROUGH!

Well we have been potty training for I'd say about 4 months now. We sure have had our ups and down. The other day I thought that I was going to bang my head against the wall. Makena has had no problem with #1 (to be descrete). And has been in panties since day 1.
Well tonight she held it (which is the problem) and wet herself. I was in the middle of feeding Brinlee and putting her to bed. I was a little disposed. I told her I would get her some new panties in a minute, I was almost done. Then I heard a toot. I said "you don't have panties on you better run to the potty so you don't get poop on the ground". I have never seen her run so fast with no whinning about it. A second later I hear her say in total amazement "MOM I POOPED". The tone almost sounded like a light turned on for her. As if she was thinking "so this is what you have been trying to tell me". I finished with Brinlee and ran in there. She HAD pooped. I grabbed her hands and we both jumped up and down. I was screaming. I never thought I would be that happy to see a poop in my life. lol. Even if she doesn't do this everyday, at least we had this moment of possiblity! Which makes it all worth it.

Funny thing they say

I was talking with Makena earlier about were we live. That we live in America. And that inside America we live in states. I told her were Grandma Karen lived, Aunt Leslie, and herself live. As a quizzed her back she said Utah, Nebraska, and Kansas. Then out of the blue I asked were Daddy lived, she replied "school". LOL. I was laughting for about five minutes. I think it was sooo hilarious. She sees her Daddy alot. I love how honest children are.
Then at after dinner we make cookies. She sat at the kitchen table eating a cookie, and snorts...."I'm a PIG" she said. lol
My kid gets more animated and hilarious every day. I hope that I never forget these funny little moments that make up my childrens lives.

Riding her Bike

So as I posted before. Makena got a bike for Easter. Here is a video of her almost riding by herself. She is getting SO BIG.

Fun in the Sun

The other day we had a fun day outside. We played on our slide, walked, ate lunch on our picnic table, played with bubbles, and lets not forget chalk. We had a great time! I love the Spring.

Look what I found...gross!!

The other day we were outside with the kids. I decided to run in and grab their sun hats. As I was doing so I looked up and saw a spider on the ceiling. I yelled for mitch to come and kill it. I hate spiders. He went in to take care of it, then I see makena with a container in her hands. He didn't kill it he put it in a container to study it. Upon doing this he realized that it was a brown recluse spider. AH!! We are having a bug guy spray tomorrow EVERYWHERE!!
