Making your own laundry soap

All right ladies. Here is how you make your own laundry soap.
What you will need:
1 box Super Washing Soda
1 box Borax
1 bar of soap (I use Fels-Napha. But you can you Ivory,or Zolt.)
1 5 gallon bucket with lid (can get at lowes or homedepot)

Useful Tools:
Food Processor or cheese grater
Drill with an attachment that mixes cement. (can buy at home depot for less than $10)

For the essentials items, the start up is about 10 dollars. All of the ingredients can be found in the detergent isle at the supermarket. Every time that you make your soap you will only have to buy the bar of soap.

What to do:
Fill your bucket 3/4 full of warm water. Then get a large pot and put 4 cups water in it. Place on stove and put on med-low heat. Do not boil the water, just a simmer. Then use a cheese grater or a food processor to shred your soap. Put half of the soap in the pot, stir and dissolve. Then add the rest and repeat. While that is dissolving put the Borax and the Super Washing Soda in the bucket. Mix well. When the soap is done add it to the bucket. Mix well again. The water is going to start to thicken a little. Then put the lid on and let it sit for 48 hrs.
When you open the bucket there is going to be a thick layer of soap. Mix well (this is when the drill comes in handy). You will have to mix it up every time that you laundry. What does it smell like?, like the soap that you used. I just use a bounce drier sheet and the clothes come out smelling great.

Measurements:
1 cup soap for a full load
1/2 cup soap for a half load

If you have any questions call or post. Or just come on over with your supplies and we can make it together.

When is it okay

Here is the deal. Lying. When is it okay? For me this question is big. Now I don't lie all the time...do I? So today I decided to keep track...
#1. Daddy saw you and waved back. (trying to avoid a meltdown)
#2. Mommy do you think your hair looks great? (the girls have every clip and bow in it)
#3. No, I don't have any gum? (Oh how I have a love/hate relationship with gum)
So far that is it. Do we/I lie not to hurt peoples feelings? Is that okay? Should we just come straight out with it and tell people how we think and feel? I really have split feelings about this.
How do you feel?
