Preschool here we come!!

Makena started preschool this year. She has a late September birthday. She was so excited and sooo ready to go too school. I don't know if I was though. I was a little nervous and I knew that I would really miss her. But I sucked it up and put on a brave face. As for her she was happy to be their.

Brinlee starting ballet

Brinlee started ballet about a week ago. She LOVES it. She is so happy that she is old enough to do a big kid activity like her older sister. She was a great listener and really had fun. Not to mention that she looks so adorable.

Wesley's Blessing

Wesley Scott Ranzenberger was blessed a little while back. It was a great day. Mitch did a amazing job with the blessing. He is getting so big.

Mitchells Edinboro Triathlon

Mitch decided to do a triathlon 3 days before it was happening (Thats mitch for yah, last minute on everything). So we packed it all up and headed down for a day of me running with the stroller and two kids (one on each side) trying to get a picture of all the transitions of the race. It was swimming 1.5 miles, then a 24 mile bike ride, and last a 6 mile run. This was the Olympic version of the triathlon. He said "If I can't do a triathlon then I shouldn't be trying to swim Lake Erie". And he was right. He finished in 3 hrs and 30 min. Not bad for not being trained to cycle.

Mitchell Bay Swim

Mitch did the Annual Bay Swim in Erie. Here are some pictures.

Update Time

Alright I haven't updated in forever!! What is new?
*Mitch will be finished with his first year of school in 2 weeks. Wahoo. We are so excited. We have made it through one whole year of gruelling tests, and a lot of studying for Mitch.
*I am now 35 weeks along and this baby is going to be big. The girls talk to the baby all through the day. Especially Brinlee, she screams at the baby with her mouth on my tummy. He moves around like crazy.
*The weather is getting nice and we are heading back to the beach. I'm so happy for that.
*Easter was so much fun. The Easter Bunny wrote a note for the girls to find there Easter baskets. They always love that. And dying Eggs is a must in this family.
*We went to the Zoo here. It is great. You get so close too the animals, I couldn't believe it. Thanks to the family pass we got we can go to over 60 Zoos in the U.S. for FREE. Awesome.
I think that is about it. The snow is FINALLY gone. The 5ft of snow on each side of the driveway is gone. I don't feel like I'm going through a tunnel when I pull into the driveway. Thank you spring time for coming.
Talk later....I hope. I hope that I will get some pictures of the baby brother when he decideds to show.

Shelby

So now Shelby has diabetes. We are giving her shots and she is feeling so much better. Though today she woke up blind. My sweet Makena has been crying all day about it. Being blind and sick is no kind of life. Now the real question is how long should we let her be like this. I think we should all start preparing ourselves for the loss of our sweet puppy. :_( I find it so hard to not crying being all hormonal and all...trying to be brave for the kids.

Night Terrors

Brinlee has night terrors. Not fun. She wakes up every night around 2 a.m. screaming so loud the house shakes(Poor Makena who shares a room with her). She isn't scared but clearly out of it. And screaming out demands to me...change my diaper, I want to brush my teeth, fix my blanket, I need a kleenex....etc. It goes on every night. I can't take it anymore. I'm starting to become really annoyed and irritated at her. I know she doesn't remember it and it isn't her fault, but I'm SO TIRED!!! So I have decided to take away nap (I have to push her to take one anyways). I'm hoping it will work. So wish me luck, and some sleep my way.

Penny Update!!

So Sunday we finally decided to take Brinlee to the ER. (Note that we got to the ER at 10:30 a.m.) She was drinking and having soft foods but every time she would try and eat a solid she would throw up. So we got their and got right in. Did the X-ray. And there it was right at the base of her throat. The interesting thing was that all of the resident doctor and our ER doctor said by the way that she was acting that it had to be in her G.I. track by now. But nope. She they called the ENT (ears, nose, and throat) doctor in. He said that if it was a little farther down that they would have to send us to Pittsburgh to have it removed. Thank heavens he said that he could do it. We stripped her down to her diaper and put her in a baby gown. So sad. Then Brinlee and me got wheeled off to the surgery waiting area. They gave Brinlee a cute baby cap with animals on it. She loved it. I explained to her that she would have to go with the lady with the hat like hers. It was time..I carried her to the surgery doors. I gave her a big kiss and hug and told her that she had to go with the nurse. She was holding on to my neck like I would never see her again. I had to fight my tears back. Finally she have me huge XOXO and then went to the lady. After about 30 min. the dr. came in and said that they got the penny out and she was doing great. I ran back to see her with Mitch and Makena. I grabbed and held her. After 2 1/2 hrs of observation and 4 popsicles and 3 jellos. She was back to herself.
What a scare. I really hope to never go through that again. That is the most expensive penny that we will ever own. lol

Rough Day

Today was suppose to be really great and relaxing. It is our 6 year anniversary. But as anyone knows that when you have kids that can all change in a minute. We were cleaning the house and getting ready to go out. (See Brinlee doesn't really let a whole lot of people play with her, she is super picky so going out is few and far between. So this was heaven sent when our neighbor Kathy met us. Brinlee just took to her. Back to the story.) I was finishing getting ready when Brinlee came into the bathroom. I noticed something in her mouth. I asked what it was and as she opened her mouth down went the shiny penny. OMIGOSH!!! What the heck do I do?? Called the doctor in laws. She was alright though. So we went out just for a quick lunch. When we got back and fed her lunch she threw up. And did when she ate anything all day long. Poor baby. Hope that teaches her a lesson. STOP STICKING CRAP IN YOUR MOUTH! And another thing were did she get the penny? But she is sleeping now and doing better.
